The YOD class is more than just a small racing keelboat. Its long and
colourful past and local associations have prompted many YOD sailors
to take a serious interest in the history of the class. Two of them have
produced significant written histories, both available here. Each of
our historians has a different angle and has used a different
selection of sources. Obviously the main target for these documents is
current, past and would-be YOD sailors but it's all fascinating stuff
and recommended reading for all members, especially as, like histories
in general these two do not always agree! Read both
