Force Four the committee boat for the RYYC regatta has been organising the starting for the yacht racing in Bridlington Bay. Skipper Barry has positioned his vessel so that we the races can make the best use of this beautiful racing venue. The first nine races have been sailed successfully and it is looking fair for the final races 10 and 11 to be sailed today. Perhaps with a little more wind than we have had so far. Race Officer Peter Crooks ably assisted by the dream team Jim (Flags) Butcher, Peter (Scribe) Marshall, and David (Timekeeper) Stamford have managed to keep the competitors busy without too much delay. We must not forget John Rycroft and his helpers from Blyth Park who have been chasing around in the Club RIB laying marks . We hope all those taking part and there supporters have enjoyed the week so far and will be present for the Prize giving at 21:00 and 22:00 this evening.
The Race results so far for the Regatta series can be viewed on the website.
Despite being kept busy (Young Peter) has been able to take several action shots from Force Four.
As a novice at Web posting I hope this post appears somewhere you can all see it and appreciate the great photos Peter Marshall has managed to capture.
