Squib Nationals - at Weymouth SC. Gerard Dyson & Tony Saltonstall 5th out of 108. Tally included a 1st & a 2nd See Yachts and Yachting Article.
RYYC at Large - Ben Williamson & team doing well away again, this time 5th
(equal points with 4th) at the Laser SB3 Eurocup at Morgat in
France.
North Sea Race - RYYC was represented by Neil Paveley's Cavalcade in this year's North Sea Race from Scarborough to Ijmuiden in the Netherlands. Cavalcade was sixth over the line out of 19 starters. Read a view of the race and the return trip. Skools Out came 2nd in the PY class.
Round the Island Success - David Armstrong in Contessina was successful in the JP Morgan
Round the Island Race on Saturday 20th June. Finishing 1st in
the Contessa 26's, 6th in class and 11th overall, Contessina won
the JP Morgan Asset Management Trophy awarded to a boat crewed
primarily by family. David and Carole were presented with the
trophy by Ben Ainslie, and crew members were daughter Claire & son-in-law Michael Beattie. It was great to fly the RYYC flag
amongst almost 1800 boats who competed this year - a memorable occasion! - CLA
