The Royal Yorkshire Yacht Club founded in 1847 is housed in an iconic building, steeped in history; the club is the only Royal yacht club in Yorkshire and continues to hold Royal patronage.
With commanding views over the harbour and out to the North Sea, it is the perfect location for all occasions no matter the scale, the club can deliver events of the highest quality whatever the occasion or requirement, business or pleasure. There are rooms ranging in size and formality catering for up to 100 people across the North and South Smithick dining rooms, both reflecting the history and heritage o f this very special and historic club.
Each dining room is regaled in fine art work and memorabilia reflecting the rich history of this historic club seating 60 or 40 respectively.
The Blue room on the second floor furnished with lovely Lloyd Loom chairs and tables opens out on to a veranda where tasteful outdoor furniture provides a perfect setting for a small intimate gathering as formal or informal as you wish to make it.
The fully licenced bar on the first floor has magnificent views across the harbour and out to sea through the panoramic bay windows, furnished to provide a relaxed and comfortable ambience which oozes the great history and patronage of years gone by.
