Approval of move to Blyth Park

The EGM held at the Yacht Club 22 Marine Drive was attended by over 100 members despite the stormy weather. Members were asked to approve the building of a modern Clubhouse at our Blyth Park location this would involve selling the present Windsor Crescent property and setting up a group to manage the proposed changes. The sailing members entitled to vote decided by 89 votes to 2 to approve all necessary changes. Tim Rix was able to explain why the the move was the only realistic way to ensure a stable future for the club to provide a suitable place to develop all watersports in the Yorkshire area.
