The Blyth Family have very kindly allowed the club to copy their extensive visual history which goes back to 1888, including the RYYC 1888 rule book and results publication.
There is also a wonderful album from Francis Blyth which tells the story of L'Esperance (76 tons, 75.8 feet long, 5,102.9 square feet of sail area, 52 tons of lead ballast) with pictures of her and and her big friends racing at the RYYC around 1904. Her competition included 'Glory' at 205 tons, the longest yawl afloat who had to anchor outside the harbour.
